My Baby Is Smiling Now – I Have A Solution For Her Blocked Nose

As a mom, my daughter’s health and well-being has always been my biggest concern. With the crazy weather fluctuations and polluted air in India, my daughter would often fall sick.

All it took was for someone in the house to catch a cold and immediately Khushi would catch it too.

As a baby, though she couldn’t speak out loud, she made sure we knew when she was uncomfortable with a stuffy nose. She would be howling through the night and she just couldn’t sleep peacefully as it was difficult to breathe. Babies are natural nose-breathers and when they have a stuffy nose, it gets extremely uncomfortable and they have difficulty in breathing. The concept of breathing from their mouth isn’t natural for them and of course, they don’t adjust to it easily.

As a mom, I would be up trying everything possible to make it better for her – balms, diffusers and steamers, but usually in vain.

As she grew older and started school, the infections were just as common. One kid would come to school with a cold, and the next day Khushi would be sick with a blocked nose. The nasal congestion was something which really got her uneasy and cranky. Missing school was bad, but her discomfort really troubled me. She refused to eat properly and had disturbed sleep through the night. It was heart breaking to see her suffer like that.

Of course, as she grew, the immunity strengthened, and the infections are now far and few. But whenever she does have a stuffy nose, at last I have a solution – Nasivion® Paediatric 0.025% (child) nose drops.

For children aged between 1 to 6 years you need to give 1-2 drops into each nostril 2-3 times per day or as directed by the physician.

Each ml of Nasivion® Child Nose Drops contains:

  • 25 mg Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride USP (active ingredient) in buffered aqueous solution.
  • 3 mg Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 50% IP (as preservative).

It does wonders! And I know now, as her mom I have a way of making her feel better! Of course, please do consult your doctor or pediatrician before use.

I am also thankful that my niece didn’t have to suffer either because her paediatrician suggested Nasivion® Mini for her!

Nasivion® mini (baby) 0.01% nose drops are specially meant for babies. It helps clear up the nasal passage and for a baby from 5 weeks to a year old, you need to use it just 2-3 times a day with 1-2 drops in each nostril. Of course, for newborns, just a drop is required, and medical supervision is advised in premature or underweight newborns.

Each ml of Nasivion® Baby Nose Drops contains:

  • 01 mg Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride USP (active ingredient) in buffered aqueous solution.
  • 3 mg Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 50% IP (as preservative).

Nasivion Nasal Saline Solution can usually be considered as the first line of treatment, cause it is safe and can be used by anyone. If the problem is aggravated then after consulting the doctor, one can opt for Nasivion (Mini) Baby Nose Drops or Nasivion Pediatric (Child) Nose drops depending on the age of the child.

Nasivion is really a blessing for all mom’s out there, because kids will fall sick and a common cold is rightly called so, but having a solution handy is just a blessing, because as a mom, you want nothing more than being there to help your child!

  1. I need to get these nasal drops for my son. My son gets easily affected by weather specially cold and once he is cold, he loses his appetite..doesn’t sleep due to blocked nose and all. This is a must have in my opinion.
