If you are a regular reader, you know Ryaal by now, love many of their products. If you are new, check out my previous posts here for more details on the brand and other products.

Ryaal was primarily an essential oils brand and they slowly branched out to various skin & hair care products created using their 100% natural essential oils.

Onions have always been known for their amazing effects on hair growth. Most grand-moms would use the traditional solution of rubbing onion juice on the scalp, but the smell…. Yikes!!!

Onions are extremely rich in anti-bacterial properties hence the juice is used to fight dandruff and other scalp infections. The juice, being high in anti-oxidants, also promotes blood circulation hence increasing blood supply to the hair follicles helping in hair growth.

Ryaal has found an ingenious way of masking the onion smell whilst benefiting from its properties.

Have been using this for a while and absolutely love its effects. Its not sticky at all, a very light oil. Spreads very easily and has a very pleasant fragrance. The underlying notes of sandalwood and rose are obvious but not overpowering. The hair doesn’t get weighed down by the oil and it feels extremely comfortable to leave overnight. Next day a wash with shampoo leaves it nice and soft. Conditioner can be optional as the hair is naturally hydrated. I also feel that my hair is thicker and more smooth than before so I intend to continue regular use of this hair oil.

Pro’s:

  • Non-sticky
  • Pleasant fragrance
  • Goodness of onions without the smell

Cons:

  • I honestly don’t see any cons with this one.

Rating:

9/10

You can buy it online at Ryaal’s website or Amazon.in.

I would highly recommend a patch test before using any of these products as essential oils can react differently on different people.

  2. Since my childhood days, I knew that onion paste is good for hair. But being a lazy person I avoid the process of applying it to my hair. Now I am super happy to see that this brand has come up with onion oil! Easy to use and works really good on damaged hair
