Amla Hair Repair Hot Oil Treatment

A Deep Root Conditioner, this creamy moisturizing hair treatment can do wonders.

Packaging:

This Hair treatment comes neatly packaged in a screw-top plastic tub with an inner seal with the brand logo embellished on it. I must admit, the seal was more beautiful than the overall packaging.

Ingredients:

I wasn’t too impressed with the ingredients as there were a few outstanding additives I would have preferred to avoid.

Price:

₹480 for 200gm

My Experience:

This rich conditioner is a thick, white cream which needs to be scoped out of the tub and applied to the scalp and along the length of the hair. The instructions advise to keep it for 20-30 mins so can be applied before a shower and to be used at least once a week.

I have used it a few times and tried it a couple of ways. If you follow the instructions, this treatment does justice equal to any after-wash conditioner. Of course, it also adds the goodness of oil penetration into the scalp which is a plus point. I have also tried it as an over night treatment on the hair, and I felt that to be more effective. Felt the oil penetration was better and the next morning post wash, the hair felt softer and more nourished. It isn’t overtly oily and can be spread across the hair easily considering the cream form. The fragrance is beautiful with a relaxing, floral scent and I think that was an additional bonus to keeping it overnight… I slept like a baby.

Honestly liked the product effect on my hair, but considering the various additions like mineral oil, it’s just a convenient substitute to actually regular oiling of the hair. It’s great as a weekly treatment and can expect better results with consistent usage.

Pro’s:

  • Convenient packaging
  • Suggested time is just 20-30 mins
  • Enriched with a variety of oils
  • Free of parabens & sulphates

Cons:

  • Didn’t like the addition of mineral oil
  • Added perfume and multiple additives

Rating: 7.5/10

Though it is a natural product, I still recommend a patch test before use as even natural ingredients can react differently on different people.
