After using Auravedic’s Skin Lightening Oil and seeing a remarkable difference in my skin, I had to try out more of their products. So moved on to another of their best sellers – The Kumkumadi Oil and took it up a notch by including their Pure Lightening Skin Polish as part of my routine. And am I glad I did…
Something about the brand
Have already spoke about Auravedic as a brand and absolutely love them. With products made with 100% natural plant extracts, paraben free and no harmful chemicals, they are perfect for the skin.

The Products & My Experience
Auravedic Kumkumadi Oil
I started using facial oils with Auravedic and absolutely fell in love with it. I now use a facial oil regularly and it has really made a difference. While I am not a fan of skin lightening, I really aim to get that even toned, blemish free skin and considering the occasional break out and my inability to keep my hands off any such breakout, I usually tend to get acne/blemish scars left on my skin. A little pigmentation is also visible now considering the aging factor. When I started using facial oils I was a bit sceptical, but soon realised that the application of oil ends up curbing the oil production of the skin and helps control breakouts. Then I received this magical little bottle. A substitute to the skin lightening oil, this promises spotless, radiant and brighter skin… exactly what I was looking for.
To be quite honest, there is a slight difference between the two oils, except that this one does feel a little more viscous and of course the brighter orange colour. It takes couple of minutes and a light massage to completely be absorbed by the skin and this one too gives a rich plumped up, hydrated feeling to the skin.
The pigmentation has certainly reduced and scars seem to have faded considerably. To be honest, I think it is due to a combination of both products, but I can’t take away credit from the oil. My arms had severe scars left behind from an allergic reaction, and I have been using this oil on them and the scars have visibly reduced.
A unique combination of rare oils and herb enriched with pure saffron, this little magic in a bottle is true to its claims.
Crocus Sativus/ Saffron Petals, Pterocapussantalinus/ Red Sandalwood Extract, Sweet Almond Oil, Laccifer Lacca / Lac Extract, Rubia Cordifolia/ Indian Madder Extract, Tribulus Terrestris Puncturevine Extract, Ficus Lacor / Pakar Extract, Madhuca Longifolia / Mahua Extract, Aegle Marmelos / Golden Apple Extract, Goats Milk, Sesamum Indicum Oil / Gingelly Oil.
Once again, this is the only downside of this product. It comes packaged in a plastic bottle with a metal screw cap. It has an inner seal to prevent leakage so it is quite easy to travel with but just a little inconvenient to dispense. To use you need to take out the inner seal and pour, which is quite difficult considering a few drops go a long way. Would have definitely preferred a dropper dispenser.
Been using it for a while now and absolutely love this oil. I personally do feel it’s best for the night time as it is a bit heavier and would prefer the lighter skin lightening oil for my daytime usage. But it is definitely doing a fantastic job. True to its claims, it helps fade dark spots and blemishes and leaves behind brighter, more radiant skin.
- Penetrates deep into the skin and keeps it hydrated
- Easy to apply and is easily absorbed
- Packaging is not convenient for dispensing
- A little more viscous so takes a while to get completely absorbed

Aura Vedic Pure Lightening Skin Polish
Again, a product I recently incorporated in my skin care routine, skin polishes were new to me. While I have used scrubs on my face before, I honestly think a skin polish like this is much lighter on the skin.
This skin polish is a light grainy textured creamy formula which has an amazing fragrance of sandalwood and saffron. It’s easy to apply and light on the skin so it’s quite easy to gently scrub and polish the skin. It can be used maybe twice or three times a week in place of your regular scrub but post scrubbing you need to leave this on your skin for a while. Miraculously most of the polish gets absorbed into the skin, and this being formulated with natural plant extracts, your skin only benefits from that amazing nourishment. A quick wash and the dirt and grime gets washed away with the grit of the polish, leaving behind clean, fresh and brighter skin.
Extracts of Red Sandal, Turmeric, Aloevera, Kokum Butter, Mango Butter, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Cetostearyl alcohol, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, C 14 -22 Alcohol & C 12 -20 Alkyl Glucoside, Triethanolamine, Stearic Acid, Polyethylene Granules, Fragrance, Purified Water, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerine, Potassium Sorbate, Butylated Hydroxy Toluene.
Packaged in a nice plastic tub with a golden screw-top lid, this comes in the typical scrub/polish packaging. Of course for hygiene reasons, I do recommend using a spatula to scoop out the product for each use.
Been using this polish along with the kumkumadi oil and together they have definitely done wonders. The texture of my skin has improved making it smoother and clearer.
- Lighter than a scrub and easy to use
- Full of natural power packed natural ingredients
- Packaging can be a little un-hygienic if a spatula isn’t used for each individual use.
Price: ₹400 for 100 gm
Both these products together are certainly a wonder combo and can do wonders for your skin. They are available individually or as a combo so one can choose as per their preference.
*As a disclaimer, I do still recommend a patch test for any product as natural products could also react with certain skin types.
