Product Review: KrishKare Dead Sea Mud Mask & Hand Cream / Lip Balm Combo

So finally, I get this post up. Dead sea masks have been the recent craze and while there are multiple brands launching their variants I was super keen on trying on the KrishKare Dead Sea Mud Mask.

Something about the brand

krishnakare

Krishkare is a beauty and wellness brand. They are strong believers in quality products and all their products are based on Ayurveda principles with emphasis on herbal formulations. Their cruelty free products use active ingredients to derive maximum benefits.

The Products & My Experience

Since I was so keen on trying the Dead Sea Mud Mask, I decided to pick up a few extras too. I bought the following products from Krishkare:

  1. Dead Sea Mud Mask
  2. Blueberry Cream Lip Balm & Hand Cream combo pack

Dead Sea Mud Mask:

Ingredients:  Pure Dead Sea Mud

This mask is an extremely thick paste made of pure dead sea mud. Blackish grey in colour, it needs to be applied with a damp brush as it too thick a mask to apply directly. Post application, it really doesn’t take too long to dry out but does cause an initial slight burning sensation. It washes off fairly easily but I had a lingering tingling feeling. Naturally rich in Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium, it claims to help regenerate the skin and bring a more youthful appearance.

Pro’s:

  • The skin feels tight and refreshed post use.
  • It calms down any acne on the skin.
  • The skin feels clean and cleansed.

Cons:

  • It is a little strong on the skin
  • Skin needs to be well moisturized post use as it can be a bit drying out.

This is available in 150gm jar @ ₹650.

Would rate this mask at a 8/10 and wouldn’t suggest frequent use, maybe once a week at max.

Blueberry Cream Lip Balm & Hand Cream combo pack:

Ingredients:

Both the lip balm & hand cream come in super cute packaging, and in all honesty that’s what made me purchase them.

Love the lip balm. The packaging is similar to a very famous international brand, and so user friendly. It applies easily and is extremely nourishing. With various essential oils, this lip balm provides a soothing feeling to the lips and keeps it well hydrated for quite a long time. Blueberry extracts in the product helps protect the lips.

Pro’s:

  • Great packaging
  • Lovely fragrance
  • Long lasting

Cons:

  • None… love it!

I honestly can’t say the same for the hand cream. Besides the packaging, the hand cream was just average. The cream is fairly thick and the packaging doesn’t provide the best dispensing, but by shaking the bottle a bit you can get the product out. The cream, though quite thick spreads easily and is quickly absorbed into the skin. This makes good for a moisturizing cream but I personally prefer my hand creams to have that added touch of richness that leaves the hands with a light feeling of being super moisturized.

Pro’s:

  • It is extremely light
  • Easily absorbed
  • Lovely fragrance

Cons:

  • Too light for a hand cream, more like a moisturizer
  • Packaging isn’t ideal

This is available in combo pack @ ₹448. Link below:

Would rate the lip balm at a 9/10 and the hand cream 7/10.

Overall the products seem good and I would love to try out more of their products.

Would highly recommend checking them out. Link below:
