Product Review: Lass Naturals Sunscreen Skin Whitening Lotion

As part three of my Lass Naturals Product reviews, I am going to talk about another product which I have been using daily.
For those of you have missed part one & two, below are the links:

For the hot summer months, (and otherwise!), it is essential to protect our skin from the harsh UVA & UVB sunrays, so a sunscreen is a must.

I received the Lass Naturals Sunscreen – Skin Whitening Lotion with Actiwhite and have been testing it out since the past couple of weeks. This provides broad Spectrum UVA, UVB protection with SPF 30 PA++

  • Dual action of skin whitening and protection from sun makes this effective natural formula to get fair and glowing complexion within weeks.
  • It helps to leave your skin nourished, protected and completely balanced.

This product comes in a very convenient tube form with a flip top. The top clicks shut making the product very travel friendly.

Rose Water, Olive Oil (Olea Euroea), Veg. Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, Carrot Seed Oil (Daucus Carota Sativa), Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis), Green Apple Ext. (Pyrus Malus), Papaya Ext. (Carica Papaya), Suncat De™, Actiwhite™, Liquorice Ext. (Glycyrrhiza Glabra), BioStine HP™ (Botinical Polysaccharide & Nano Collagen), Xanthan Gum, Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus), Wheat Germ Oil (Triticum Vulgare), Nutmeg Ext. My Experience:

This sunscreen has a very pleasant subtle fragrance making it a joy to use. The consistency however is a little thick which makes it difficult to spread. I find it spreads well on slightly damp skin and does provide a moisturizing affect. The product does not leave any greasy residue behind but does have a slight white cast when used directly, but when spread well over damp skin it absorbs quite well.
It clearly does provide protection to the skin as I have realized with use over the last couple of weeks, and it lasts for upto 3 hours post which it may need a touch up. (Luckily I don’t really spend too much time in the sun except for travelling to work). It isn’t too heavy on the skin and very comfortable unlike a lot of the sunscreens available.
I am quite happy using a sunscreen which is not only natural and organic, but also provides other benefits like evening out the skin. I am not a fan of whitening products and I honestly don’t think this really does whiten, but have seen some fading of pigmentation which I am extremely happy about.

  • UVA & UVB protection
  • All natural sunscreen
  • Evens out skin

  • Consistency is a little too thick and leaves a white cast if not spread over slightly damp skin

I would rate this product an 8/10 for the fact that there are few natural sunscreens available and with a product like this, there is no excuse for missing out on sunscreen!

The product is exceptionally affordable at ₹215 for 100gm which goes a long way, as you only need a little to spread it.
