Product Review: Sara Herbals – Radiance D-Tan Facewash

With the focus on natural products, I am quickly shifting my loyalties for skincare to natural, herbal and ayurvedic brands.

I received this face wash in one of my subscriptions a while ago, and since I have started using it a few months ago, I have fallen in love with it.

Something about the brand

The Product

Radiance D-Tan Facewash

This face wash is part of Sara’s D-Tan range which includes the face wash, scrub and mask. The focus is clearly on removing tan and brightening the skin. Though I really don’t support the focus on whitening of skin, sun tan is quite a common problem and am sure this product would intrigue many with its claims.

This cleanser has 8 benefits in 1 as it hydrates, nourishes, soothes, calms, heals, brightens and lightens the skin. The goodness of camphor and eucalyptus oil cleanses the skin while providing instant brightening and lightening benefits.

It’s suitable for all skin types and enriched with botanical extracts for skin radiance.

Cost: ₹195 for 100gm

Ingredients:

Aqua, Glycerin, Citrus Paradisi (Grape) fruit extract, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium N-lauroylsarcosinate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Polyquaternium-39, Ocimum Sanctum (Basil) Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllata (clove) Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, DMDM Hydontoin & Perfume.

Packaging:

The face wash, just as the scrub & mask, comes packaged in a convenient, bright red tube with a flip top. The packaging is of good quality and has a tight closure to avoid any leakage. It is sold in one size, a 100gm pack.

The Contents:

The face wash is a clear gel but has a medicinal fragrance. This can be a slight turn off as the smell gets stronger when the gel is lathered up.

My Personal view:

I have been using this face wash for a little over a month now, and believe me I started to notice a difference in my skin in the first week itself. The directions for use mention that you need to spread it evenly over the skin and leave it for 4-5 mins, and then wash off with warm water. Though, I got to be honest, I didn’t follow the directions accurately, this product definitely helped in reducing my tan. The skin looked brighter in a week’s time and am keen to try out the entire range.

It’s a clear gel, not too runny but lathers up quite well. It washes off relatively easily and doesn’t leave behind any residue but a cleansed and hydrated feeling. The skin doesn’t feel dry or stretched out but plump and hydrated.

I would recommend this one, but only if you aren’t too particular on the fragrance of your face wash.
